Our DreamsWe at SPBC have dreams! These dreams flow from the vision given to God’s people long ago through the prophet Jeremiah “Seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you. Pray to the Lord for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper.” (Jeremiah 29:7) These dreams go back to the vision given to four Solana Beach women in the mid 1940’s who envisioned “ a church for our community .” How would He have us join hands with our neighbors, Christian and non-Christian, to further fill out the dreams given to the ancient prophet and to four visionary women? Imagine yourself, your family, your small group reaching out together. Community Serve Day offers us a perfect way to bring our friends together to seek the well being of our own city. We hope to have 1,500 of us out in our city serving in the name of Jesus. We have dreams, and we believe the living God will mightily bless us and our city as we live out those dreams! |
